CareersUSA® promotes Tonia Cordaro to vice president, southeast region

Boca Raton, FL—CareersUSA, a leading, national staffing firm, is pleased to announce the promotion of Tonia Cordaro to vice president, southeast region.

In her new position, Cordaro manages the sales and operations of seven CareersUSA offices from Atlanta, Ga. to Miami, Fla. Cordaro oversees the national accounts division housed at corporate headquarters in Boca Raton, Fla. as well. She will also play an important role in CareersUSA's expansion into Tampa and Jacksonville, Fla., and in the company's national release of its new, proprietary, web-based time and attendance software, PerfectTIME.

Cordaro sees the staffing industry as a "fast-paced, diverse, challenging and rewarding industry" and enjoys "making a difference by helping job seekers find new careers and businesses find top talent."

Cordaro began her tenure at CareersUSA in 1996. In 1999, she left to pursue a position in corporate human resources "to become a more, well-rounded professional by seeing both sides of the staffing process."

In 2002, a chance encounter with her former employer, CareersUSA's founder and chief executive officer Marilyn J. Ounjian, convinced Cordaro to visit the company's new corporate headquarters.

"I missed the excitement and competitive edge of staffing," Cordaro says. "I find this industry financially and spiritually rewarding."

Cordaro holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from SUNY Brockport College, N.Y., and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources by the Society for Human Resource Management

In her spare time, Cordaro loves to travel, enjoys studying foreign languages and is an avid reader. Her community involvement includes participating in fundraising activities for various non-profit organizations.

The oldest of three siblings, Cordaro was born in Rochester, New York, and moved to Florida in August 1996. She currently lives in Delray Beach, Fla.
