Well-recognized women CEOs of award-winning companies shared their stories of accomplishments. A lively Q&A by the more than 70 attendees followed the panel discussion. Panelists included: Marilyn J. Ounjian, CEO, CareersUSA; Marie Gill, CEO, M. Gill & Associates; Lissette Calderon, CEO, NEO Concepts, LLC; with moderator Lisa Gibbs, executive business editor of The Miami Herald. According to Carlos Garcia, chairman of the project and a partner with the accounting firm of Goldstein Schechter Price Lucas Horwitz & Co., P.A., the Business Innovation Institute's series of events were created to accomplish two things. The first was to highlight the inspirational success stories of companies that achieved recognition through the Chamber's awards programs: the Top 100 Minority Business and the South Florida Good to Great Awards. The second was to provide members of the local business community with the opportunity to learn from those heading companies with solid growth records.
