Boca Raton, FL — CareersUSA is pleased to announce that its founder and CEO, Marilyn J. Ounjian, is a finalist for South Florida Minority Woman Business Owner of the Year by the Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.
The South Florida Minority Woman Business Owner of the Year is an award program that furthers NAWBO's mission to foster and develop women entrepreneurs in economic, social and political spheres of power worldwide.
"Shining a spotlight on minority women-owned businesses will acknowledge how important these women are to our economy," says Julia Suppe, event chair and president-elect of NAWBO's Fort Lauderdale/Broward County chapter.
Ounjian was thrilled to have been selected a finalist. "I've been a member of this organization for quite a few years and an avid supporter of the innovative work that they do," she said upon learning of the nomination. "It's gratifying to be nominated for this important award."
The award ceremony will be held on November 6, 2006 at the Westin Hotel/Cypress Creek in Ft. Lauderdale.
