Press Release September 13, 2006 CareersUSA® Franchisee Melissa Tenzer Boca Raton, FL— CareersUSA is pleased to announce that Melissa Tenzer, a franchisee in Princeton, NJ, has been named the 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year by the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce. "It truly is an honor to be named the 2006 Entrepreneur of the Year,” said Tenzer.“Opening my franchise was the biggest business risk that I’ve taken in my career, and the one that put me on the map in Princeton. This award recognition speaks volumes for the services we provide.” Tenzer has been with CareersUSA, a national staffing firm, for more than 11 years and opened her own franchise five years ago after swiftly moving up the ranks. "I started my business with a passion and vision for helping local job seekers and businesses reach their full potential," said Tenzer. "Today, I enjoy many wonderful, long-lasting relationships with both groups. "The recruiting efforts exceeded expectations and order activity equaled those of some of the more mature offices. CareersUSA’s founder and CEO, Marilyn J. Ounjian, was proud to hear of Tenzer’s award. “Melissa deserves this recognition,” said Ounjian. “She’s proven her strength and leadership time and again. We are very proud of the way that she represents CareersUSA” The judges based their decision on various criteria, including: community contribution, ability to overcome obstacles, growth and outstanding leadership in the community. Tenzer’s community involvement with local charitable organizations includes serving on the business advisory council for Eden Works, an autistic organization that helps children and adults with disabilities learn life skills. “Melissa’s passion for business relationships and outstanding contribution to her community set a strong example for our future entrepreneurs,” says Trudy Feldman, Executive Vice President of Franchise Development. Tenzer will be awarded a plaque and a check made out to her favorite charity, Eden Works, at the Chamber’s Business Leadership Awards dinner to be held late November.
